On Saturday a fairly large group of people, mainly readers of the
umtsb5 newsgroup got together to play Drazi War - I'm not going to
even try and explain the rules as you should have been paying attention
before the event and apart from that I didn't understand them anyway!
I think that congratulations and thanks are due to Sarah, Tony,
Will and everyone else who helped organize the event, a few moments
from which you can see below...
Early(ish) on Saturday morning and the Battle Bar has started to fill
up with eager (if you were there, then read bleary eyed for eager) Drazi
and scorers. Sarah - who is far too organised for words - manages to
convince at least some people that they know what is going on!
Will prepares the radio controlled balloon for one of the challenges
later that day. I never did get to see the balloon actually in action!
The teams having been picked, the Green Drazi and the Purple Drazi begin
to seperate and no doubt start wondering what the hell they have let
themselves in for!
Sarah just managed to duck out of the way as I tried to get some of the
scorers on film
The Purple team managed to find good seats in the Battle Bar to start
working on the challenges
You might think I'm just a naff photographer as I get so many people's
backs, missing heads and so on, but I'm sticking to my story that I
wanted a photograph of the shirts
Yes, well, I don't know exactly what was going on here but everyone
involved did seem to be enjoying it
This one doesn't have much to do with the Drazi war but it seemed to
fit better here than anywhere else - that's David, Lesleyanne, Sue and
Janet BTW
